Aims and Scope
AIMS
Indonesian Journal of Da'wah Management Scholars (INDO-JDMS) aims to advance scholarly understanding of Da'wah Management or Organization by providing a platform for high-quality research. The journal seeks to promote theoretical development, empirical inquiry, and practical innovation in the management of Islamic institutions and da'wah-based organizations. All themes must be on Da'wah Management or Organization (Islamic Context), but not limited to:
- Integrate Islamic Principles: Bridge the gap between classical and contemporary management theories with core Islamic principles derived from the Qur'an, Sunnah, Ijma', and Qiyas. This includes exploring concepts such as Tawhid (Oneness of God), Amanah (Trusteeship), Adl (Justice), Ihsan (Excellence), Shura (Consultation), and Accountability (Hisbah).
- Promote Ethical and Moral Leadership: Examine leadership styles and decision-making processes that embody Islamic ethics, emphasizing moral integrity, social responsibility, and sustainable practices.
- Foster Holistic Organizational Development: Investigate management models that contribute to the spiritual, social, environmental, and economic well-being of individuals, organizations, and society at large.
- Address Contemporary Management Challenges: Offer Islamic perspectives and solutions to current global management issues, including corporate governance, human resource management, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and strategic management.
- Encourage Interdisciplinary Dialogue: Facilitate discourse between Islamic studies, business administration, economics, sociology, and other relevant disciplines to enrich the understanding of Islamic management.
SCOPE
The scope of the INDO-JDMS encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Foundations of Islamic Management: Theoretical frameworks, philosophical underpinnings, and historical perspectives of management from an Islamic worldview.
- Islamic Leadership and Governance: Leadership theories, ethical leadership, corporate governance in Islamic organizations, Shura (consultative) models, and accountability mechanisms.
- Human Resource Management in Islam: Islamic perspectives on employee motivation, training and development, performance management, compensation, workplace ethics, and employee well-being.
- Islamic Financial Management and Economics: Principles of Islamic finance, Halal investment, Zakat management, Waqf (endowment) management, and socio-economic justice in business.
- Marketing and Consumer Behavior from an Islamic Perspective: Halal marketing strategies, ethical advertising, Islamic branding, and Muslim consumer psychology.
- Islamic Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Principles of entrepreneurship in Islam, Islamic social entrepreneurship, and fostering innovation within an Islamic framework.
- Organizational Behavior and Culture in Islamic Settings: Workplace dynamics, organizational culture, communication, and conflict resolution informed by Islamic values.
- Strategic Management in Islamic Organizations: Formulating and implementing strategies that align with Islamic principles and objectives, including sustainability and social impact.
